The electronic industry in the country reaches a new level: several companies in the electronics industry of the Republic of Moldova have created the Association of Companies in the Electronics Industry (ACEM).
The idea to create such an association was suggested during the round table discussion titled “Electronics Industry, Achievements, Challenges, and Perspectives” held on November 9, 2018, which was attended by representatives of the private sector in the electronics industry, the public sector, and research circles from Moldova.
“We have reached the moment when we need to make efforts to associate, to create cooperation with partners both in the country and in the European area in order to be able to obtain large grants to help us develop this industry. The creation of the ACEM is a new beginning, a step towards a higher level of electronics in the Republic of Moldova,” Academician Ion Bostan, ex-rector of the Technical University of Moldova, said.
“As a founding member of the ACEM, we have decided to popularize hardsoft electronic products created in Moldova. Besides, we tend to create new products to be promoted internationally. As a result, we will manage to attract new staff and specialists in this industry: actually, while developing electronic products, we used to encounter such a problem as a lack of staff. We tend to train specialists in this field, to offer them suitable space and environment to develop and reach a new level; the electronics industry in the Republic of Moldova has to become a prestigious one, it does have prospects,” Roman Stirbu, Simpals Director, the ACEM founding member, said.
Based on viable partnerships among private companies, public authorities, and other national and international organizations, the ACEM aims to promote competitiveness and development of the electronics industry in the Republic of Moldova.
