#TUMnanoSAT was designed, manufactured, and assembled at the Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei by a team of students and teachers.

Viorel Bostan, rector #UTM: a decade ago, a group of researchers and engineers from Technical University of Moldova had a wonderful dream to place the Republic of Moldova on the list of countries capable of approaching space technologies and placing objects in outer space. Today I am extraordinarily proud of the achievement we’ve got here with the students and teachers at university because we are on the eve of the launch of the Republic of Moldova satellite into space – developed, designed, manufactured and assembled at Technical University of Moldova. On this occasion, I would first like to thank our development partners, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, for providing us with technical assistance and creating this extraordinary opportunity to launch the Republic of Moldova satellite into outer space from the International Space Station.
Through this achievement, Technical University of Moldova has demonstrated that it meets the highest standards of elite technical education!

With this project, the Technical University of Moldova demonstrated that the technical and engineering education in Moldova meets the highest standards. The competencies in electronics are continuously developing.

Sergiu Gaibu, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Moldova: ”The successful creation and launch of the satellite is further proof that the engineering traditions of the Moldovan electronics industry are consolidating and developing, and the Technical University of Moldova is nurturing the potential and ensuring the quality of engineering studies based on modern space technologies and strengthening scientific research in the field of space exploration.

We are delighted that the nanosatellite will have educational and research missions and will provide extremely valuable data to young researchers in the field, which will strengthen their knowledge and interest in professional development.”

Ready for launch, let’s fly to Cosmos, Moldova: https://lnkd.in/dxFtfjif
