The electronics industry is actively developing all over the world as well as in the Republic of Moldova. Due to the implementation of innovative projects in the electronics sector, new jobs are created with attractive salaries and development prospects for industry specialists. The Moldova Electronics Association ACEM starts an awareness campaign “Electronics – your Future Career”, to inform young people about the opportunities and assets in Electronics.
Our mission is to reveal the potential of this industry and encourage them to embrace a career that creates the future.

The electronics industry of the Republic of Moldova today has more than 170 companies and about 16,000 employees. A promising industrial sector in terms of its potential to contribute to GDP, boost employment and attract foreign investments. Local companies cover a wide range of products: hardware and software, electronic components and devices, smart meters, PLCs, printed circuit boards, micro-and nanoconductors, etc. SMD and THT assembly, EMS and ECM, design and manufacture of electronic devices, nano- and microconducting sensors and much more. Moldovan specialists are highly qualified and have a remarkable reputation abroad, in addition, electronics produced in the Republic of Moldova are exported to dozens of countries all over the world.

The success of the electronics sector of the Republic of Moldova is based on a solid technical and engineering base, which includes higher education and vocational training provided at the Technical University of Moldova and four professional educational institutions. The study program is developed in close cooperation with the companies representing the industry so that it is guaranteed to meet the needs and modern standards of the electronics sector. The dual education system (VET) is also actively developing, which allows companies to receive qualified employees who have been repurposed from other professions.

ACEM aims to make profession of electronics engineer popular again, providing young professionals with career opportunities in electronics and microelectronics. The member companies of the Association opened their doors to young professionals from the Republic of Moldova, offering internships and work in the widest range of specializations.

Therefore, everyone who wants to develop and make a career in the field of electronics can study this profession and work at home. “

The Curriculum in the Republic of Moldova aims at giving the students a high qualification and covers modern and popular specialities in the field of electronics:

Technical University of Moldova (UTM) utm.md. The only higher technical educational institution accredited in the Republic of Moldova. Technical education is one of the strongest in Moldova – Moldovan engineers are known for their competencies and have leading positions in all areas of the country’s economy.

Chisinau Vocational School No. 6 sp6.md. Trains specialists that are able to work in the field of transport, both in the public and private sectors. Training programs: radio-electronic devices; electronics and microelectronics; automation of technological processes.

The Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics ceee.md. A post-secondary vocational training institution that provides training for specialized personnel. The vocational training program is organized on the basis of secondary education with a duration of 4 years.

Balti Polytechnic College cpbmd.info. The College provides education and skills development in the following areas of study: Electrical Engineering; electronics and automation; mechanical engineering and metalworking; information and communication technologies.

Balti Vocational School No. 5  sp5.md. Prepares skilled workers in the following training programs: Computer Support Operator; repair and maintenance of electrical equipment; specialist in commercial refrigeration equipment; Automotive Electrician, etc. Training programs with the dual VET system: installer of electrical equipment and electronics; operator of CNC machines; operator in mechanized and automated warehouses.

As part of the communication campaign, ACEM will inform about the activities of the Association, share success stories of the Association members, emphasize the variety of products created by them, present interesting facts from the international and local electronics industry. All this can be found on ACEM accounts on Facebook, YouTubeLinkedIn, as well as on the Association’s website.
